Since the pandemic, there has been a marked increase in violence against health care workers. A new IHA report shows that Iowa health care workers, nonclinical and clinical, are suffering increased workplace violence and injury. The IHA report reveals an increase in physical violence and verbal abuse. Those unfamiliar with daily events in hospitals may be shocked to learn that violent altercations are so common.
