The Iowa Society for Healthcare Engineering is organized for educational purposes and is an individual membership organization affiliated with the Iowa Hospital Association. The organization’s objectives are to promote quality patient care through improved engineering practices.

If you are an Iowa hospital engineering professional, there is no charge to join ISHE.
Membership in the society is available to individuals who are active in the field of hospital engineering and related disciplines with administrative or supervisory responsibility and who are employed in an Iowa Hospital Association member hospital. Hospital engineering is defined as both an art and a science of efficiently planning, managing and maintaining the physical environment, equipment and telecommunications systems for health care. Members at this level will not be compensated for services rendered on behalf of ISHE.
