Iowa Hospital Association Annual Salary, Turnover and Benefits Survey Program
The annual salary survey collects salary wages, rates and shift differentials on more than 300 non-management, management and executive job codes. The executive salary survey breaks down salaries by base and total compensation. The Iowa Hospital Association salary, turnover and benefits survey is one of the most valuable and useful tools provided to members. This annual survey helps Iowa hospitals hire and maintain appropriate levels of personnel.
The annual turnover survey provides data on select job codes and allows health care organizations to track and measure their voluntary, involuntary and retirement turnover rates compared to other hospitals. This survey also collects information on open full-time and part-time positions in the hospital, along with hospital-based nursing open positions. Workplace violence questions on incidents and types of violent incidents are included as well.
The annual benefits survey collects data from hospitals on the areas of insurance coverage, medical, dental, vision, time off, retirement, and CEO specific benefits.
Data for each of these surveys is submitted using data as of July 1 of the current year, and statewide reports are sent to participating hospitals’ CEOs and human resource directors in early October. Each participating hospital receives reports on non-management, management and executive salaries, shift differentials, turnover survey and benefits survey.
If you are interested in reviewing the results of the surveys, contact your hospital's CEO or human resources department. Questions about the Iowa Hospital Association's salary, benefits and turnover survey can be emailed to Allison Martin at the Iowa Hospital Association, 515-288-1955.
