Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) status recognizes the professionals and academic achievement through the individual’s participation in this international voluntary certification program. Certification demonstrates your knowledge base and ability to be a “quality leader.”
Individuals obtaining certification demonstrate a knowledge base of multiple parameters of health care quality: physician credentialing, data collection and analysis, risk management, information management, education and training, process improvement and leadership. A strong foundation of these principles prepares the quality professional to meet these demands and set priorities for process-improvement activities in their organization.
Attaining certification often opens new career paths for individuals who may have been doing “quality work” as part of another job but who may want to move entirely into health care quality.
