- Established Community Partnership Pays Off During COVID-19 for Loyola Medicine. Loyola Medicine has maintained a strong partnership with its neighboring communities in Chicago’s near western suburbs. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, this health system-community partnership was already helping residents in these economically-challenged communities in many ways, including providing nutritious food on a more regular basis. But the coronavirus outbreak has not slowed down the partnership’s efforts of leveraging innovation to help improve the lives of community residents. June 10, 2020

- Lurie Children’s Hospital Community Collaborative Advances Health Equity. The American Hospital Association and the UnidosUS strategic alliance spotlights member hospitals and UnidosUS affiliates working together to build healthy, equitable and resilient communities. With the goal of addressing issues impacting child health comprehensively and collaboratively, NWSHC and Lurie Children’s Hospital partnered to develop and implement community-driven related to child health and well-being. - Saint Anthony Hospital Builds Resiliency Through Community Wellness. The American Hospital Association and UnidosUS work together to highlight the impact of clinical and community partnerships to ensure equitable care for all. The Collaborative for Community Wellness is a Chicago-based collaborative including 22 community-based organizations working together to the ensure the community’s health care needs are met. In order to better understand higher than usual newborn readmission rates happening in its patient community and ways to eliminate racial disparities impacting maternal health, Saint Anthony set out to study the issues and develop solutions to improve outcomes.
