Providers today face an era of change unlike any before. Shifting requirements and fiscal uncertainty create a chaotic atmosphere for providers. During times like these, strong leaders who demonstrate innovation and focused decision-making abilities are required. That’s why the Iowa Hospital Association partners with the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative, Iowa Medical Society and Iowa Academy of Family Physicians to offer a certificate program designed to help physicians gain the tools to become successful leaders in today’s complex health care environment.
Participants achieve the Physician Business Leadership Certificate by attending sessions and additional requirements in networking and involvement with other industry activities. Each session features well-known physicians who will share their expertise in three main focus areas:
- Foundational leadership and business skills.
- Topics to help physicians improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Issues in health care delivery affecting physicians, such as the opioid crisis and behavioral health.
