Hospital trustees receive certification from IHA
A group of 54 hospital trustees and 16 Iowa hospital boards were honored at the 2023 Iowa Hospital Association Governance Forum, April 14-15. The recognition occurred during IHA’s annual governance conference for hospital trustees and was followed later by a reception.

IHA's Hospital Trustee and Board Certification is a voluntary program recognizing trustees who have completed 12 hours of health care-specific education over a two-year period and confirm that individually and collectively their board is following governance best practices. Hospitals and health systems also are recognized as one-, two- or three-star boards, depending on the percentage of board members certified.

More than 300 trustees and 44 hospital boards across the state have completed the certification program requirements.
