Gov. Reynolds meets with IHA board. Gov. Kim Reynolds met with the IHA Board of Officers and Trustees Thursday. UnityPoint Health-Des Moines CEO David Stark welcomed Reynolds and shared the hospital community’s appreciation for her work with Iowa hospitals.

FDA rescinds authorization for COVID-19 monoclonal antibodies. The Food and Drug Administration is no longer authorizing the monoclonal antibody bebtelovimab for emergency use to treat mild to moderate COVID-19. 

AHA releases emergency preparedness guide. The American Hospital Association has released a cross-sector field guide about disaster and emergency preparedness.

CMS issues memo about violence in hospitals. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reinforced its role in enforcing regulatory expectations that hospital staff and patients are provided safe environments that ensure the effective delivery of care.
