Cyber criminals targeting health care payment systems
The FBI reported cyber criminals are redirecting payments intended for health care providers to accounts they control by targeting health care payment processors.
Report period 3 PRF payment Sept. 30. Health care providers who received provider relief fund payments exceeding $10,000 total from Jan. 1 to June 30, 2021, must report to the Health Resources and Services Administration by Friday, Sept. 30, about how the funds were used. Failure to report can result in enforcement actions including repayment or exclusion from receiving or retaining future payments.
