IHA advocacy team weekly round up. The advocacy team met yesterday with State Sen. Mark Costello (R-Imogene) to discuss IHA’s 2023 legislative priorities.

IME creates plan to resume normal business process after PHE. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently released guidance outlining requirements and expectations for resuming normal eligibility business processes when the federal COVID-19 public health emergency ends.

Apply for rural health network grant. The Human Resource and Services Administration Federal Office of Rural Health Policy is offering 44 awards of up to $300,000 each for the 2023 Rural Health Network Development Program.

Nominate a great Iowa nurse. After a two-year hiatus, the former 100 Great Iowa Nurses Award is back. Now called simply Great Iowa Nurses, the program recognizes Iowa nurses who routinely go beyond their duties to ensure safe, compassionate care for their patients.
