GE Healthcare provides update about contract media shortage. In a webinar with the American Hospital Association on May 18, leaders from GE Healthcare gave updates about the contrast media shortage.

Clapp announced as Centerville Medical Center president. MercyOne Centerville Medical Center announced Nicole Clapp as its new president. Clapp brings 20 years of experience to the role, most recently as the national president and vice president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Indianapolis.

ACIP approves COVID-19 booster for kids 5-11. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has recommended the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expand the eligibility of COVID-19 vaccine booster doses to everyone 5 and older.

Critical cloud software vulnerabilities identified. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency directed federal agencies to take emergency action to prevent cyber actors from exploiting critical vulnerabilities in VMware cloud service software products.

AHA releases playbook for rural health leaders. The American Hospital Association designed a guide for rural hospital leaders and trustees to help them navigate a post-COVID-19 world.
