The Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute will launch an American Hospital Association-informed initiative to provide funding to help health care delivery systems and provider-affiliated health plans implement practices to improve patient outcomes based on institute-funded research.

Government Accountability Office launches survey about data breach reporting. The Government Accountability Office is surveying health care entities and business associates covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to learn more about their experiences complying with the Department of Health and Human Services' data-breach reporting requirements and its efforts to improve the data-breach reporting process.

Conference to highlight issues of importance for auxilians and volunteers. IHA’s Auxilians and Volunteers personal membership group annual conference will feature innovative ideas for program development, the state of hospitals in Iowa and how auxilians, volunteers and leaders can continue to support their hospitals and themselves.

Registration open for risk management, medical liability webinar. Assured Partners, a ServiShare and COPIC partner, will host a webinar to help hospitals and medical facilities enhance their risk-management planning to prevent claims, reinforce patient safety and improve outcomes.
