There's still time to register for your spot at the 2012 IHA Governance Forum, scheduled for April 26 at the Holiday Inn-Jordan Creek in West Des Moines. The forum will address topics such as decision-making in the board room as well as the Triple Aim of better health for Iowa and an overview of how Lean Management principles can help improve processes within hospitals.
IHA will also recognize the most recent trustees to complete the requirements for the Trustee Education Certification (TEC) program. All sessions at the IHA Governance Forum count toward the 12 hours of education required to complete the TEC.

Health Pulse Podcasts
IHA is producing a series of audio podcasts designed to provide unique insights on legislative and regulatory issues to trustees, CEOs and other hospital advocates. Watch for podcasts throughout the year, distributed exclusively to members of the Iowa Hospital Action Network.
Physician Leadership Institute of Iowa
Physicians by definition are leaders in the hospital culture, but they are not formally trained in leadership, nor is training specifically aimed at physicians readily available in Iowa. In response to requests from Iowa hospitals for assistance in helping physicians better communicate, strategize, organize and work as leaders, IHA has created the Physician Leadership Institute of Iowa. The institute is an excellent tool for engaging physicians and helping them to become stronger and more effective leadership partners. Find out more here.
