Organ Donation Awareness ResourcesIHA is collaborating with the Iowa Donor Network to promote organ, eye and tissue donation awareness through Iowa's community hospitals. Hospitals are a highly credible source for health information and have a unique ability to educate peers and community members about the need for donors and encourage donor registry enrollment. This page serves a resource for hospitals to promote organ donation within their organizations as well as in their communities. Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital CampaignIHA is urging all Iowa hospitals to participate in the Workplace Partnership for Life (WPFL) program as Hospital Partners to promote organ and tissue donation within their organizations and throughout the communities they serve.
Give 5 - Save LivesThe Give 5 - Save Lives campaign provides a specific strategy that hospital and business leaders can use to promote organ and tissue donation. Hospitals and other businesses are urged to give their employees multiple five-minute opportunities (typically just before or as a shift begins) to learn more about organ donation and register as donors.
