AHA
Annual Survey
The
American Hospital Association Annual Survey collects comprehensive utilization,
financial, personnel and services data on all Iowa hospitals based on audited
financial statements. The AHA Annual Survey also serves as the state licensure
survey for Iowa. IHA and the AHA analyze and use the survey data for representation,
public relations, information requests, and the IHA publications Profiles and
IHA Service Directory. The AHA Annual Survey database is available in MS Access
or Excel format as well as custom reports. Below are links to documents that are helpful tools in completing the survey:

Profiles
Profiles is an annual guide that summarizes the environment
in which hospitals and health systems operate, outlining basic data about the
Iowa hospital and health system community. This publication includes information
on hospital and health system organization, utilization, personnel, finances,
hospital payment, demographics, economics, and current hospital and health system
issues. Profiles also provides hospital specific utilization, personnel and financial

Service Directory The
IHA Hospital and Health System Service Directory lists Iowa hospitals by the services
they provide. The Service
Directory Summary is available on the IHA Web site.
